What’s Developing

This is the start of my photography blog for the site, and as this is my first attempt at blogging, please bear with me whilst I find my feet in this new and exciting world. My blogs will all be in reference to photography and the shoots that I do, so I plan to include hints and tips as well as any traps I discover along the way – and how I dealt with them. If you think I haven’t covered a subject that you are interested in then please let me know, and I will do my best to get the information posted.

On Sunday (1st September 2019) I visited the Newport Wetlands with the intention of doing some macro-photography. However, the site was quite busy in that area which meant that there weren’t too many subjects around. So instead I just tried some shots of the ‘Bug Hotel’ to try and understand the sort of techniques required for this genre of photography. To say that I was disappointed with the results would be an understatement, so more research and ‘You Tube’ videos are the orders of the day to try and improve the photos from this difiicult form of art.

So 2020 is upon us and all the weddings for 2019 are complete. We now have to start looking ahead at the locations for the upcoming weddings, and ensuring that we know our settings and locations for the photos (including a plan B due to British weather). There are more weddings to come and we also have an Adobe Portfolio site at: andrewredmond.myportfolio.com – please feel free to have a look at your leisure as it will be progressively developed once I have worked out what can be done within the site.
